E.M. HD Video Converter is a video converter with a focus on HD formats. But it can also produce standard definition content. The application works simply enough: you add a file, choose one of many output profiles, and convert the file. The output profiles are divided into categories. There are three categories for high definition formats and one for standard definition. The HD ones allow you to convert your files to Blu-ray and AVCHD files, which can be then burnt to the discs. Also, you can convert to files that can be played on any computer. E.M. HD Video Converter supports WMV, MP4, MOV, AVI, XVID, and H264 formats. For all formats you can choose the resolution as well. 720p and 1080p are supported. However, it should be noted that, if your video file is not the same resolution as your output, the video quality will take a hit. So you have to keep that in mind. E.M. HD Video Converter supports batch-processing, so you can add a few files and convert them automatically. I haven't seen any hard-coding options, so I am assuming subtitles can't be added to videos. You can make use of other advanced filters, though. Resizing, cropping, and setting media limits are all supported.
